Easter baking... Cake anyone?

April 2024

Hello Reader,

I hope those of you that celebrate had a fabulous Easter. It's a shame the weather wasn't better here in the UK. But us Brits would expect nothing else on a bank holiday weekend. πŸ˜‚

We had the in-laws round for a nice big roast lamb dinner. Followed by my delicious homemade lemon pavlova. Okay, so it wasn't really mine but Nigella's (Nigella Lawson for those who haven't heard of her. You absolutely should check out her recipes, especially her chicken with 40 cloves of garlic. Trust me--Yum!). I did make it though, so that counts, right?

No photo, it didn't happen. πŸ˜‰

I recently joined a ladies dart team--well, back last year. So, this is our first season together, and we are doing really well, even managing to beat the top two teams and make it to the cup final. With only a few games left, we are currently third in the league and hoping to keep that place to the end. I shall keep you updated.

In other news, and this is something I would love your help with, Toni and her men are currently evading me. Perhaps they aren't happy I stepped away a few times to work on Frankie and Sloane's short and are now ignoring me. Whoops! Anyway, since I wrote Risk, I've been wanting to write a good old thriller ( I may already have a cover for this). But I also have a penchant for PNR/Fantasy (I may have an almost complete first novel in this genre too).

So, my question to you is if I were to write one of these, which one would you prefer?

πŸ–€RECOMMENDED READS & NEW RELEASESπŸ–€

This month, I'm bringing you something a little different for my recommended reads and releases. Not only is this series phenomenal, it is written by my amazing friend Vawn Cassidy (she also writes under the pen name Wendy Saunders, which is how I discovered her through another of her series; The Guardian Series). Okay, I'm going to stop waffling and give you all the deets.

This is an MM series with a difference. A supernatural twist to be precise, and accompanied by an equally fantastic group of secondary characters that will have you demanding they get their own stories.

That's all from me today. Next month I hope to bring you news on Frankie and Sloane's short story and maybe a little something else. πŸ˜‰

March 2025 Hello Reader, How are you doing? Can you believe it's March already! What's new with me? Well, I ate far too many pancakes last week ( a day early as hubby was away, and I had a darts match on the Tuesday). I enjoyed a fantastic few days with a friend who came to stay at the end of February, although my feet were not appreciative of all the walking, and my waistline as grown a few inches thanks to all the lunches out. The weather is starting to turn, and the snowdrops and crocuses...

February 2025 Hello Reader, Well, thank god that month is over! Anyone else feel like January was the longest month? With that thought, let's get to what February has in store for you. New year, new TBR, or are you still working your way through last year's? What are you currently devouring? I'm hoping to add a few more fab reads to the list. After a year of no new releases, April is going to see two releases from me, and I'm so excited to bring you these stories. I'll be attending some...

January 2025 Hello Reader, Happy New Year! I hope you had a great Christmas, and 2025 is going to be an amazing year for you. Christmas was good, quiet and far too much food. New Year's was spent partying at my bestie's house, like every year, and involved plenty of laughs and alcohol. 🍾 So, tell me, what was your top Christmas present? Mine was a hardback copy of Quicksilver, my top read of 2024! And in case you somehow missed it, Quicksilver is being made into a movie on Netflix (insert...
